KDLINKS X1 is a full-HD, wide angle dashcam with a large screen, inbuilt GPS and superior night mode recording. It can automatically record high clarity videos at a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 30 fps in a continuous loop. In the unfortunate event of an accident, the inbuilt G-Sensor automatically detects it and the emergency lock button locks the video file to save it from deletion. While the 165 degrees wide angle lens and the WDR or Wide Dynamic Range technology ensures that nothing goes uncaptured by this intelligent car dashboard camera, the 2.7 inches wide, bright LCD screen allows you to play the recorded clips right inside your vehicle without having to transfer them to any external device.

Since the GPS module is built into the camera, it embeds the location information and related data into the video clips. Using the KDLINKS Player software that comes free with the dash cam in a CD, you can also use Google Map to track the location, speed and route of your vehicle. And if you don’t want to use the GPS feature, you can easily turn it off.

It would be good if the battery could last little longer than mere 60 seconds but given the perfect USB power port this dashboard camera comes with, that is hardly any drawback worth getting a mention.

KDLinks X1 Review

The KDLinks X1 is an increasingly popular dash cam that was released in 2014. It features Full HD video (1080p) and a wide angle lens with a 165 degree field of vision, capturing pretty much everything that you can see through your windscreen.

Video quality is very good at day time, and fair during the night. Details are generally clearly visible and you can read other cars license plates from nearby should you need to. However, the large viewing angle results in a bit of distortion near the edges of the screen.
